Dear Offshore Wind Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, We’re pleased to invite you to the 1st Offshore Wind Summit Latin America 2025 (OWLA 2025) taking place on 23 – 24 October 2025 in Santiago, Chile.
This year’s conference theme is “PAVE THE WAY FOR LATIN OFFSHORE WIND”.
The development of offshore wind energy is entering a defining moment in Latin America. Chile is emerging as one of the countries with the most significant potential for offshore wind energy plants. Chile aims to position itself as a leader in offshore wind energy in Latin America. Brazil offshore wind energy potential is estimated to exceed 1,200 GW, according to the World Bank. Brazil’s Federal Senate has passed the country’s offshore wind bill, passing the legislation on to the President for final approval. The development of offshore wind sets Brazil on track for a new era for wind energy. Colombia is actively developing its offshore wind industry with ambitious goals. The country aims to install 7 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2040 and 13 GW by 2050, leveraging a high-potential resource estimated between 50 and 100 GW. Argentina is estimated to have the potential of 2.5 TW, making it the most resource-rich in Latin America for offshore wind. Hence, we’re planning to organize the 1st edition of offshore wind summit to combine the project developers and vendor companies together.
In the two-day event, we will discuss offshore wind regulations, developer project updates, engineering and construction, sustainability and climate mitigation, transportation and installation, investment environment, digital transformation, technical transformation, offsohre wind supply chain, public educations and more from both domestic and international perspectives. As well, the event will focus on Chile particularly, Brazil and Argetina markets will also be involved.
We’re looking forward to meeting you in Santiago, Chile.
